Character Information
Historical Figure: Much the Miller's Son
Journal:
lacklustrous
Goes by: Sonny "Much" Miller, Jr.
Birthday: July 17
Age: 20 but he looks around his mid-teens
Occupation: takes on a number of odd jobs, mostly because he can't hold one for more than a month
Background: Much is the only son of Sonny Sr. and Natalie Miller. Much's mother is a wet nurse at the local home for seniors, while his dad owns a tiny photo-developing shop, located just between the upper class and seedier parts of town, sandwiched between a Gucci store and Weird Lenny's Pawn Shop. Despite Much's attempts to get his dad to abandon the business (because, seriously, who uses film cameras anymore?), his (quite possibly senile) father refuses to give it up, as it'd been a family business since his grandfather. Because of this, Much was forced to drop out of school— though he hadn't been that great of a student anyway, so he isn't too broken up about it. Much then spends his days roaming around, looking for odd jobs that include, but are certainly not limited to, car washes, lawn cutting, shoe-shining (no really), life counseling (he still doesn't know how he managed this one), and fashion consultant.
Personality: Much is definitely a few fries short of a Happy Meal. He's awfully simple-minded, and he knows this. (It's actually his simple-mindedness that keeps him from being too bothered by it.) Much often acts the age he looks, adopting a childish sort of behavior because that's what people usually expect of him. He doesn't have my expectations for himself, so he takes others' expectations a little too seriously and often bases his entire personality and behavior on it. He hasn't got many useful skills, and often bungles things up even with his best effort, but he's persistent and determined and a hard worker. It's very rare that anything can get Much down.
Important Details:
- has a penchant for calling people (regardless of their age) "Mister" or "Boss" and "Ma'am" or "Boss Lady."
- sometimes mistaken for a girl due to his delicate frame and long (often unruly) hair.
- a quick study for most physical, menial tasks, but throw mathematical equations at the boy and all you'll get back is a blank stare
- distinguishable because of his unique fashion sense, which pretty much consists of any odd combination of whatever he happens to have. Oddly enough, he can make most anything work for him.
